One might expect John to look fit in shape because he is an avid runner and enjoys running marathons. However, due to being in the MICU for 5 days I would expect the patient to look thin and frail to where muscle has atrophied because of ICU muscle acquired weakness. Mr. Jones might also look pale or present with a bluish tent because he is still hypoxemia and enough oxygenated blood is not getting to the rest of his body. I would also expect for there to be several lines and tubes coming from the patient in order to monitor his heart rate and breathing.
