How To Write A Biography Of A Boyceville High School Student

Decent Essays
Hello! My name is Alexis Meixner and I am approaching my senior year at Boyceville High School. At the moment, much of my time is spent preparing for college through a rigorous academic schedule and job shadowing a preschool teacher at a local elementary school. Simultaneously, I also enjoy competing on my school's varsity dance team and science olympiad team. In my free time, I enjoy painting, working with children in my community, and endlessly laughing with friends and family.

My time at Barnegat High School has helped me to become who I am today and will most defiantly impact what I will do in the future. The teachers and my peers have all been an influence on my life and during the four years that I spent at the school, I have done some things for the school and the community as a way to thank them for giving me the opportunities that they have. It was they who pushed me to keep trying and striding to succeed and without them, I would not have accomplished what I have today. One of the things that I am most proud of doing is helping to bring new clubs and activities to Barnegat High School. This year, with the help of other students and advisors, a new club made it into the ranks of the diverse sea of clubs and groups that already exist.…

“You must get an education. You must go to school, and you must learn to protect yourself. And you must learn to protect yourself with the pen, and not the gun”(Josephine Baker). Growing up in Southwest Philadelphia and Upper Darby, I have seen a lot of my peers turn their backs on education due to the hardships of their urban school environment. Due to the poor education system and their circumstances, they decided to head towards street life such as selling drugs and gun violence.…

Before attending Wilmington Early College High School (WECHS), I was not satisfied with my personality, nor was I happy with the way I was perceived by other people. Most would think that I should have been confident because in middle school I was in the AIG program. However, I never truly felt satisfied with myself. I always got good grades, but I never felt like I earned good grades. Although I was making straight As and Bs, it was always relatively easy to earn those marks in middle school.…

Although being open and outgoing can help communication growth, rudeness and unnecessary judgement can hinder one’s ability to socialize and express themselves.…

Since moving to Bettendorf for my High School years I have learned more than I could imagine and for that, I will be grateful for forever. I have learned more about myself, more in school, and most importantly I have learned from my mistakes including how to fix them to prevent myself from ever making them again. Everyone makes mistakes and may possibly get in trouble for these. I will never forget Bettendorf High School nor February 28th, 2018. February 28th was a day that has changed how I think about my best friends, and also made think about everyone a lot more than I did before.…

“H-Hi… M-my n-name is…” I would constantly stutter like this when introducing myself on the first day of school every year in high school until 12th grade. This was the result of having terrible self-confidence and being introverted. I became introverted due to my move from Indiana to Alabama. I still have a love and hate relationship with this move. I love it for the fact that it showed to not take friends for granted.…

For a lot of people in Evansville, Bosse High School’s gym is just a gym. To me, this is actually a place I hold close to home.
