Travel Industry Expects Record Number of Travelers on Thanksgiving 2016
If you are planning to travel this Thanksgiving, you definitely won't be alone. In fact, experts are saying that this holiday will have more travelers than the Thanksgivings of the past nine years. In fact, AAA forecasts that 48.7 million Americans will be traveling this Thanksgiving.
Not surprisingly, Thanksgiving tends to be one of the most traveled holidays out there. But, the travel that we will see this year hasn't been seen since the year before the Great Recession.
The particular study that gives us these results took place before the election. It took into consideration job growth as well as household net worth and the stock market. Naturally, airline and gas prices also play a role in this increase in travel plans.

Check-ins for flights will probably take a bit longer than usual, so make sure you plan accordingly.
For those who are driving to their destination, take your time and avoid driving during peak travel times. You should also map out your route in advance so that you don't have to try to navigate the roads while driving in heavy traffic. Stay safe out
