Train That Brain – Critical Writing Assignment Thomas Edison is considered one of the most famous inventors in American history. His success as an inventor was mainly due to his persistence and hard work which led him to create many successful inventions including the lightbulb. Thomas Edison was quoted saying that “Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” In my opinion what Edison was saying is that one can’t receive opportunities by waiting for them to come, but rather by making them happen, which is something I agree with due to my own experiences as well as other’s experiences which I have read and heard about.
