Imagine being on an island with other stranded people and have to work together to survive. The book ¨Lord of the Flies¨ is similar. On an island, a group of kids are stranded and do not know each other but have to work together to either survive or escape. A kid named Jack wants to survive and a kid named Ralph that wants to escape. What is more important, survive with Jack or escape with Ralph? Jack is a leader that only loves to hunt. So he gathers a tribe to go out to hunt. Jack would rather try to survive than escape. Ralph is more of a thinker. he gathers a tribe together by blowing in a conch shell. Then builds a fire with help from the tribe to signal someone to save them from the island What needed to happen to escape? Ralph's idea to make a fire is a great idea. But the tribe needed to keep the fire going. Ralph made a plan to make hourly shifts for the kids to go get wood. Eventually Jack lights the whole island on fire. Jack wanted to kill Ralph, so he lit up the island on fire. How did Jack light the whole island on fire? He got fire from their cooking fire, then lit up different spots of the island. Luckily an officer found them on a ship. In conclusion, The stranded kids on the island eventually escaped. With different leadership and survival skills, they did survive. Escape or survive? It doesn't really matter because everyone got home except for the death of Piggy and Simon. Both Jack and Ralph are different in there ways of leadership and surviving but they both did escape. They all escaped with different ways of what needed to happen of eventually escaping. Although there were sad times and scary moments, all the others were able to make it off the island
