How I Will Use This Award to Advance My Career
Exercise is the key to a healthy and rejuvenated life, but most people tempt to neglect it. Exercise can be a substitute for several drugs; however, our society is affected by the impact of commercialized drugs and medications. Unfortunately, the majority of the American population is not aware of the importance of exercising. Despite a growing in the fitness industry, people are still engulfed in their bad habits which may be factor of health issues. Ignorance, indolence and wrong advertisements are the main causes of such comportment and these are the main reasons why I want to pursue my education in exercise science.

I did realize some differences in regard to the American lifestyle but these changes were fine to me. Although I was coming for two years I tried to adapt myself to the culture. My goal was to focus on my studies; I was taught in fact that life is a pathway in which doors open to you if you are devoted and ambitious. My parents always told me that education was the primary key to success. I therefore grew up with the mentality that being educated was critical to success in life. I was particularly interested in human biology. I wanted to learn everything related to anatomy and physiology. My desire was to become a physician. In France, education is a bit different. Already in high school, we had to choose our field of interest from literature, economics or science. I chose science; I obtained my diploma in biology and started college, intending to go to medical school. However, because of the opportunities available in the United States, I decided to continue my studies there. This was especially risky because I did not know the language or the …show more content…
I am convinced that this award will be an inestimable asset to my career. Eventually, my aim is to use this degree toward a research position in which I will be able to better understand the link between exercise and nutrition. In addition, I want to open a holistic wellness center in which fitness, exercises and nutrition will be promoted as an alternative for healing and disease prevention. This center will provide primarily rehabilitation services, physical education, as well as nutrition and fitness activities. Therefore, I would like to be knowledgeable enough in this field in order to offer my services to the ones in need. I consider knowledge, ambition, perseverance and a very strong work ethic as my strengths.
