Tornadoes are one of nature’s deadliest storms. A tornado is a funneling cloud that spins at the speed of 300 miles per hour. A tornado can destroy whole communities and devastate families in a matter of minutes, maybe even seconds. And tornadoes are unpredictable so one cannot simply know when a tornado is coming. If one owns a mobile home or recreational vehicle, one should never stay inside it during a tornado storm. The winds can easily know over the vehicle and injure you. If one does own a mobile home, one should plan ahead in case of a storm. One should not be on the street during a tornado storm. Especially if one is in a car, truck or bus. Tornadoes can easily knock over vehicles and can lead to many injuries. If you are on the street or open space, you should avoid trees and remember to protect your head. Malls, theaters, and gyms(gymnasiums) are dangerous when in a storm. Even if they seem large, they can easily collapse. The roofs of the buildings are held up by the outside walls, therefore the roof can easily collapse. If one is in a public building during a storm, it is best to stay on the lowest floor and in the innermost room of the building. One should also stay away from windows for they can easily shatter into many pieces that can harm you.
