Every twelve minutes another person dies as a result of drunk driving. This is a very eye widening statistic when asking yourself if the drinking age should be lowered by three years. Not only are eighteen year olds not as mature as twenty-one year olds, but teenagers also hold a feeling of invincibility inside. Studies have proven that teenagers are more likely to be involved in car accidents than adults, furthermore, alcohol at a teens disposal would be unfathomable. Drunk driving is said to be the highest among the ages twenty-six to twenty-nine. This may lead one to believe if men in their twenties can’t make good judgment, how could an eighteen year old.
