One reason why teen curfews are not an effective way to decease Juvenile crime is because “most crimes do not accrue at night they mostly accrue in the afternoon when they are not watched by an adult.” (Teen Curfews, p.7). For instance, there is no point of making curfews because teens tend to create trouble when an adult does not supervise them because they do not have anyone to stop them or tell them what to do. According to the text “Teen curfews” it states, “Others claim that curfews and ineffective, pointing to statistics showing that most juvenile crimes occur between 3p.m. and 6p.m., usually right after the school days end, and many teenagers have little to do then, but loiter.” (Teen Curfews, p.6).
