How To Reduce Gun Violence

Gun violence is a major global issue. In modern day, a gun is the first instinct when one feels endangered in an environment. Instead of reporting to the police of suspicious activity, people take the matter into their own hands which result in many innocent people losing their lives even when sometimes they were not initially the target. The people who have possession of these weapons are abusing their power to conduct malevolent activities such as killing, stealing, etc. According to National Institute of Justice, statistics have shown that firearms were used in 68 percent of murders, 41 percent of robberies and 21 percent of aggravated assaults nationwide. First and foremost, guns should be illegal to sell online. All gun websites must be deleted due to the fact that anyone can buy without showing any form of identification. The guns that are being ordered can get into the wrong hands and cause a threat to society. Guns should be only obtained from legal stores that are approved by the government. Guns within the store must be checked and approved. When purchasing a gun, the person purchasing a gun must show their gun license which there will be the system that will connect gun stores and gun license office. This system will show how many guns have been registered and the expiration date on the license. If the license is expired, a gun should not granted. If a person has already had a possession of three guns, they can not purchase any more guns under any circumstances. Gun violence is a serious issue that needs to be addressed internationally. Even though there is gun control in the United States, there is still a large amount of people who suffer from gun violence even when they are not the victims. By having an examination every two years that includes a fee and a better restriction on gun sales, gun violence rates can decrease
