How To Read Critically

1. The last time that I was told how to read was during my junior year, last year, and my English teacher taught us how to read critically, pretty much almost like we learned from our reading. He told us to read each sentence and think about why the author was saying what they were saying. Since our classes only lasted around an hour a day and we only covered the critical reading part for about quarter of the class, we did not really go into depth on why and how we should critically read. However, my teacher did explain that we should read critically because it helps you to comprehend a text a lot easier.
