Learning to read and write with my sister are some of my fondest memories they also helped make me who I am today. I was roughly 4 or 5 years old when my sister started teaching me to read and write at home. Being the youngest in the family I often got on my family’s nerves so my sister got me a notebook and taught me by writing in it and I would copy it she then would correct me or help me if I was having trouble with it. They showed me that sometimes we can get a little lost but that doesn’t mean we have to stay lost. Sometimes it just takes you on a different road to what others have travelled. What I have been through taught me to never give up on your dreams even when it might seem impossible. That second chances are sometimes life changing in the best possible way. I now love learning again its definatly something I value more now than I did in the past. I know it makes me a better person as well as proud of myself and how far I’ve come.
In the end Im thankful for those experiences I know that not everyone is so lucky. They made me a stronger person who knows they can achieve anything if I work hard and believe that I can. Looking back, I’ve changed so much since that little girl who learned how to read and write. I’ve learned somethings the hard way other things I had to do for me and no one else. I was once afraid of the future and if you asked me in the past if I thought I had one that involved university I would’ve said no, now I can’t wait to see what my future will be because I know that it is anything I want it to
