How To Read And Write An Essay About My Learning Experience

Improved Essays
For me education and learning haven’t always been something I enjoyed. Some of it was good while some of those moments were horrible. Three of my biggest learning experiences were learning to read and write, going back to study and learning to accept myself. It’s these learning experiences that have changed me and affected the way I feel about learning.
Learning to read and write with my sister are some of my fondest memories they also helped make me who I am today. I was roughly 4 or 5 years old when my sister started teaching me to read and write at home. Being the youngest in the family I often got on my family’s nerves so my sister got me a notebook and taught me by writing in it and I would copy it she then would correct me or help me if I was having trouble with it. They showed me that sometimes we can get a little lost but that doesn’t mean we have to stay lost. Sometimes it just takes you on a different road to what others have travelled. What I have been through taught me to never give up on your dreams even when it might seem impossible. That second chances are sometimes life changing in the best possible way. I now love learning again its definatly something I value more now than I did in the past. I know it makes me a better person as well as proud of myself and how far I’ve come.
In the end Im thankful for those experiences I know that not everyone is so lucky. They made me a stronger person who knows they can achieve anything if I work hard and believe that I can. Looking back, I’ve changed so much since that little girl who learned how to read and write. I’ve learned somethings the hard way other things I had to do for me and no one else. I was once afraid of the future and if you asked me in the past if I thought I had one that involved university I would’ve said no, now I can’t wait to see what my future will be because I know that it is anything I want it to

Literacy Narrative The earliest memory I have of reading is with my grandmother at her house. When I was a toddler, she would read to me every time I spent the night with her. My favorite book for her to read to me was Three Little Kittens by Paul Galdone. I 'm not too sure why this was my favorite book, but my grandmother says that I "insisted on having it read to me" every single time I was with her. She would also read the Bible to me, which was quite confusing and complicated for a child to comprehend, but she explained the stories to me in a child-like format.…

The most vivid memory I have of reading is when I was in third grade, my teacher use to read books to us at the end of everyday. However, one day she took us to the library and told us to pick out a book to read on our own. The library was set up to where each grade level had their own books so kids were encouraged to pick books that weren't to difficult for them to read. I wanted to prove that i could read a higher level book because I have dyslexia and other kids thought it was funny when I would mess up reading out loud in class or when I wrote papers. Therefore, I went to the fifth grade book cases and picked the biggest book I could find which was the original The Lighting Thief , before it got popular and they changed details in the book.…
