This is a very good reason why humans cause climate change. According to Plos ONE #11.4, 95% of California’s wildfires are caused by human actions. The interaction between humans and wildfires across all of California demonstrate the need to understand the relationship between them, mostly in the face of a changing climate and expanding human communities. People in California have built in areas of natural vegetation know as the Wildlife-Urban Interface,(WUI), much of which the area is known to be fire prone. This means that most of the wildfires are made by humans, and also meaning that humans cause major fires.…

On 02-23-18 at approximately 1700 hours, I arrested and transported Ramon Richard Arvizu to the Pasadena Jail for booking (Under PPD Case #18002500). It should be noted that I have had several police contacts with Arvizu on the west hillside on State Street and Railroad Street near the Pasadena Power Plant. Arvizu had a transient encampment set up and was living on the above hill for several weeks. Upon my arrival to the Pasadena Jail, I asked Arvizu if he knew anything about the fire which occurred at the bottom of the hill where he was living, on 12-08-17. Arvizu was reportedly contacted by a police officer in his encampment on the day the fire.…

The fire that rendered 3.5 square miles of Chicago proper to ashes in 1871 did start, or so the rumor went, in Catherine O'Leary's barn—both Daisy and her owner were later cleared. The thing about rumors, though, is that they spread; this rumor spread as fast and as aggressively as the fire that it sprang from. You might say it spread like a wildfire. There was even a song made up about it. It was determined in a later investigation by the police and fire department that a stray spark from a chimney started the fire.…

How the Great Chicago Fire started will forever be a mystery. I know what started it, it was natural causes because it's hard to believe that a person with a peg leg could run 250ft in the time that he said he ran. Also Mrs. O'Leary couldn't have milked her cow in the middle of the night with no light but a lantern. The lantern is a fire hazard because you had to light it with fire. Plus the wood that was the city was dry so it was really flammable.…
