Ways to Prevent Global Warming
Global Warming is a term used to describe an increase in average temperature of Earth’s surface, Atmosphere and oceans. Global warming is caused by greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide emits into the atmosphere, also caused by burning of fossil fuel and deforestation. Average temperature around the world has increased by 0.75 Celsius. in past 100 years. David G Victor said in his book that global temperature around the world has been increasing rapidly. In the past decade, the global temperature has increased by 1 degree Celsius, due to human activities such as using fossil fuel which emits carbon dioxide in to the earth’s atmosphere. There are many ways to prevent or stop the global warming. One of the easiest

One of the easiest way to mitigate climate change is to stop deforestation, meaning we should plant more trees than cutting them. Planting more trees reduces the amount of carbon dioxide present in the atmosphere. The other easy way to help reduce climate change is walk or bike to places rather than talking cars or public transportation. Transportation vehicles produces about 1.7 billion tons of carbon dioxide per year. Using renewable energy such as solar power and electric cars. Being energy efficient by using LED bulbs, turning off lights, T.V or computer when not using them. There were several solutions proposed to solve global warming. One of the proposal was to reduce the amount of fossil fuel to create electricity, instead use nuclear power plants to produce electricity since nuclear power emits little to no carbon dioxide. The other proposal was to use electric cars instead of gasoline powered cars since gasoline powered cars emits 1 billion tons of carbon dioxide per …show more content…
Such as planting more trees, walking or biking to work or places nearby rather than driving everywhere. Turing off electronic devices when not needed. If possible investing in solar panels or buying an energy efficient cars. I know many people thinks that it wouldn’t make any difference since I am the only one doing it. If everyone does small things it will make a big impact. I believe people helping as much as they can be the key to reduce global warming. Small steps always make the biggest

It's evident that temperature is rising which as a result causes us to experience a lot of abnormal climate changes worldwide. The cause of this increase of temperature is the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is constructed by water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane and ozone. The greenhouse effect is when the gasses trap the sunlight, not making them bounce back to space, which creates the atmosphere to warm, thus making Earth hotter. What’s responsible for realising a large amount of carbon dioxide is the burning of fossils fuels.…

To begin, animal population is very important to us humans meanwhile lots of animals and plants are undergoing extinction due to the cause of climate change. These events are most likely occurring because of inaccurate behavior of humans, causing temperatures to rise and lots of greenhouse emission to be released quicker than nature can put it out in a natural occurrence. This process is known as global warming ,making it less efficient for humans and animals to live safely in their environment and habitats. This life threatening event is causing animals to go extinct, humans to have worse weather conditions such as stronger hurricanes and severe heat waves. 2000 species of animals and plants discovered to be making movements towards the poles at an average rate of 3.8 miles per decade.…

Merriam Webster defines confines as “something (as borders or walls) that encloses” which is relatable to the role the environment has pertaining to the earth. The confines of the fine being the earth that we inhabit would be measured by the bio capacity of earth. Our current bio capacity is exuberant for what earth can take as it would take 1.5 Earth’s to sustain the current population of the earth (worldpopulationhistory.org). The living of humans beyond these confines derives the job of an environmentalist. An environmentalist as defined by Merriam Webster is “a person who is concerned with or advocates the protection of the environment.”…

Global Warming is beginning to drastically affect the Earth. Most people do not think about the damage they are doing to the Earth of if they do they think it is a problem for the future and not for now, which is untrue. Humans’ lifestyles should be altered to prevent further damage to Earth’s environment by reducing the demand for energy, recycling, and using less air conditioning and heat, these acts will reduce global warming. If the human race would cut down on energy usage, it would slow down global warming 's damages. In “Climate Change Science-…

In Leonardo Dicaprio’s speech he said, “A world that we collectively felt in 2015 as the hottest year in recorded history. Our production needed to move to the southern tip of this planet just to be able to find snow. Climate change is real, it is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species, and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating.” Climate change may not be the biggest issue in the world, but it is a problem and is most definitely real and is affecting people and animals and if nothing is done now we will have an even bigger problem in the future.…

Global warming is warming the climate around the world. This affects humans because places that are already hot become hotter, which could cause death to increase. National Geographic states, " Without major reductions in emission of greenhouse gases such as CO2, up to three in four people will face the threat of dying from heat by 2100. " The only way to stop this is to end global warming.…

The Effects of Climate Change in Alaska Climate change, is it real or is it a hoax? If you live in Alaska maybe you’ve noticed environmental changes such as glaciers gradually melting, or maybe you’ve visited the village of Kaktovik and saw the polar bears that are new to the area (Goode, 2016). Perhaps you’ve recently moved to a new city because your last home was to inconvenient for you to make it to work on time. Well for the people of Shishmaref, they recently decided to move from their home due to erosion and flooding caused by climate change (Mele & Victor, 2016). Climate change is impacting us all of us whether we are aware of it or deny the it, the world is changing all around us.…

Global warming since then generally define as a gradually increasing in temperature, which results in changing global climate permanently. Earth 's climate has been negatively influenced by many direct and indirect ways. Humans can severely damage the quality of climate. Most people are not aware that actions contribute to the decay of the Earth through time. Much research has been focused on the effects of global warming, as a direct result of the elevation of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, which originally from global industrialization and modernization.…

Human activity has a great impact on global warming. Events, such as burning fossil fuels, contributes much of the carbon dioxide that is emitted into the atmosphere. Global warming effects caused by human activity affects the earth 's climate in many ways. It is melting the earth 's poles, glaciers and ice sheets which causes sea levels to rise. It is also shifting climates and precipitation patterns and is forcing animals to migrate.…

With that being said I’ll begin by discussing what is causing global warming to take place right before our eyes. Body: I. To put it bluntly, the cause of global warming is human activity, primarily the burning of fossil fuels like oil, coal, and natural gas. a. These are the significant driving factors in global warming. According to Global Warming from Encyclopedia of Global Warming and Climate Change “Many human processes ranging from industry, transportation, power stations, agriculture, fossil fuel development and usage, to residential and commercial activities have variously led to the production of high amounts of greenhouse gases.”…

Small things like having a campfire or driving their car affect our atmosphere and how warm it is. Our society need to be taught that everything they do affects their future and their world. In a 2016 study, a third of teachers in the U.S. believed that global warming is caused naturally. 70% of middle school teachers and 55% of high…

Or better yet, how do we stop or mitigate the problem? The climate change issue is manifesting at a rapid pace, so much so that even if we halt greenhouse gas emissions entirely, the earth will still continue to warm at a rapid pace due to the carbon dioxide still present in the atmosphere, mind you CO2 has a residence time in the atmosphere of over 100 years. The most viable solutions to this problem have been geo-engineering methods, some of which are extremely clever, but also extremely costly and impractical. A lot of the proposed solutions have to do with removing the already present carbon dioxide gas through methods that involve installing stations equipped with synthetic material that chemically bonds with CO2--removing it from the air. The first question that might come to mind is: is that not why we have trees?…
