Alina was observed during the morning in her remedial reading class. Alina was observed in the one-on-one setting. At the start of the observation, Alina and Mrs. Sweeney, Alina’s remedial reading teacher, entered the room together and took a seat next to each other. Mrs. Sweeney presented flash cards to Alina and instructed her to read the words aloud. Throughout the activity, Alina was receptive to Mrs. Sweeney’s feedback as she applied the strategies Mrs. Sweeney taught her. Shortly after, Mrs. Sweeney presented a passage to Alina and instructed her to read the passage as she timed how long it took her.
