SUMMARY
According to Christensen, one must create a strategy for their own life in order to balance work and family. Far too often careers take first priority and relationships and family are put to the side resulting in broken marriages and families. This result is due to being unable to balance both. He suggests that you must decide how much time to put towards each of these events. Often people have many tasks that need to be completed but never enough time to do all of them. An individual must allot specific time to each of these activities in order to assure that important things are not being pushed aside. In order to succeed and leave the legacy that you wish, you must have integrity. This often leads to destruction of marriages and broken families. Learning to balance all these areas of life is very important in a manager’s position. Administrators and people in higher positions often get caught up in the monetary reward of their positions and forget their own values and beliefs. By remembering who you are, where you came from, and staying true to your values you will be able to steer clear of events that may end in trouble.
