How To Make My Ed Puzzle

Decent Essays
I believe that Ed Puzzle is a great interactive tool to use inside and outside of the classroom. The process of creating my Ed Puzzle was really simple. Since I am a health education major I searched for videos that are related to my field. In the beginning, there were really no videos that stuck out to me that I would want to use for my Ed Puzzle. So I thought about the time when I was in high school and my health teacher had us look at a video on how to properly wash your hands. Most people would say that they already know how to wash their hands but after watching the video it would make them think twice about the steps they take to washing their hands. As a teacher, I believe that my students would benefit from the video that I chose whether they look at the video before class or after class as a review. Watching the video could help the students better prepare for the lesson and have a better understanding of the lesson. What I liked about using Ed Puzzle id that there are a variety of videos that I can choose from. I can also just look at videos for my own benefit as well as my future students. …show more content…
While using the website I learned how to put audio in the videos as well as notes. In the beginning, it took me awhile to figure out how to put audio in the video but I eventually figured it out. I also learned how to cut down the video that I was using. I believe the original video was more than seven minutes so I was able to cut it down to three minutes. I furthermore learned how to put multiple choice questions in the video and short answer questions in the video. Ed Puzzle does the majority of the work for you so it makes putting videos together really easy. I overall like Ed Puzzle and I believe that my future students will benefit from using this website

Due to these cues, only the highlighted area on the play head would play the video. I saved this video as a movie to the computer and set it as AV1, and if I desired I could slow down the video during this step. I saved my movie to the desktop so it was easily accessible and entered it into a new storyboard on the Dartfish software. I then uploaded trimmed video, by clicking on Mediabook and proceeded with the proper steps. I then signed into dartfish.tv to ensure my assignment was uploaded correctly and it was.…

Although this might be helpful to some students ; hence, I know many that were left even more confused with movies and videos. Which is why Alisal High had a rate of 50% drop outs because it wasn’t just one teacher who did this but the most of them and because that the students didn’t understand the material because no one was willing to take the time and sit down with them, but this changed when George Shirley was hired, and he challenged the students and that’s exactly why I would have wanted Shirley as my teacher if I were senior at Alisal in 1987. A teacher who challenges the students is a teacher who cares about them and the…

On September 17, I observed first grade, Elkhorn City Elementary teacher, Dana Sheets. These rambunctious students had just came back from lunch and were still phasing to settling down for their lesson. The teacher did a wonderful job of catching their attention through the transition of calming them. She had the students complete a word puzzle on the wall out of their spelling words. She had made the boards setup on the wall so that each student can just run up and connect a puzzle piece, in which case is one letter to help spell the word out, the next student would follow behind, completing another word and eventually they would have the word spelled out.…

It’s hard to tell where to start when it comes to my experience with SEI. As I reflect on this class and my own career there has been real dichotomy of sorts. In the first half of my career I spent in a very culturally diverse community of Stoughton which had a very high ELL population with little no built in supports for teachers. In the second half of my career in East Bridgewater, there is a very low level of ELL’s with much more support. The biggest take away that I have from this course and my time in the classroom, is there are a number of tools available to teach children with a variety of strengths and weaknesses.…

I really enjoyed watching the video. The purpose of John Sinnett 's was that he wanted his students to see that he was engaged just as the students were. From the video, we can see that John is very passionate about his kindergarten students. During his lesson, he gets down on the carpet on the same level as his student to make them feel engaged. This is something that is very important because students are so to teachers telling what to do.…

If you chose a partner, then you would have to have more logical fallacies to show in the video. There is no substitute for activities in a classroom that require your hands. (Cleaver). Ideas like this show just how important these activities are, especially for a student’s cognitive learning. A classroom must be focused on interactive activities rather than having an over reliance on testing. The best way students get the most out of what they are being taught is by actually doing what they learn and applying it accordingly.…

Webinar Webinars are a very profitable model to build and grow a business. In order to put on a webinar many people think that you need to spend $400 a month on a gotomeeting.com account and personally I don’t like their system. I avoided webinars for the longest time because I thought the barrier to get started was too difficult and pricey to get started when it is actually so simple and cheap. The truth is you can put on webinars for the one-time cost of a plugin and video software, then air them through youtube livestream but self-host them. I already mentioned the video software under creating videos on page 62, depending on your budget (free to a few hundred dollars).…
