The novel To Kill A Mockingbird was written by Harper Lee, and adapted by Christopher Sergel. In the play there were many great things that pointed out issues about racism in the 1930’s. The plot was in the fictional town of Maycomb, Alabama. This play is based on racism and how everyone should be treated equal no matter what skin color they are. I believe this play was a well done adaptation of the book, but the language used was not always the best choice. The book is about a girl named Scout who was looking back on her life, and was describing what was happening at the time. I believe the trial scene had the most impact about the theme.
