How To Join A Rotary Club

Improved Essays
After I have completed my education, I plan on joining the rotary club to help spread my passion for both community and friendship. I want to collaborate with minds from all over the world to make my community a better place. I can do so by hosting an exchange student or by helping students in my community fundraise money for their own youth exchange trip. Hosting an exchange student will let that student make new ideas to take back and spread within their own community. Helping students in my community fund their own trip will let them experience the world in a new perspective and bring home ideas from other cultures. Being a part of a Rotary Club does not only impact my own community, but also a broader one. I would also like to create a

It is a great pleasure to recommend Rachel Sitasz for admission to the Edward Hospital Student Volunteer Program. She is one of the most empathetic, kind, and exceptional humans I have encountered in my 14 years of teaching. I teach Rachel in my 8th grade advanced ELA class. Her academics, character, innate curiosity, intrinsic motivation, ethical standards, and unwavering desire to give back, have put Rachel in a class of her own. In fact, for the first time in over 25+ years, the eighth-grade team created a brand new end-of-the-year award for our graduation awards assembly.…

I have donated time in my city, state, country and internationally. Through the many opportunities that I have had for community service, I have been able to broaden my views, and look outside my community at how others experience our world. I have visited very diverse communities ranging from the inner city of Detroit, MI to a small, economically depressed village in Honduras, to the mountains of Pennsylvania and inside homes very different from mine in my own…

Seated on the plane to Beijing, I was thinking all the way on what I did through the past year. In the past few years, I’ve volunteered with a variety of organizations from National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and Key Club. I have also co-founded a Community Outreach Club at high school. Through the Church I’ve assisted with Vacation Bible School and middle school retreats. One of my favorite memories came from volunteering for the first time with National Spanish Honor Society. Choosing to participate in this program was not a difficult decision, since I knew I wanted to continue practicing my Spanish and volunteer in the community at the same time.…

I am very honored to be invited to apply for membership to the National Honor Society. So many activities and experiences in my life demonstrate the key ingredients to be an outstanding member of National Honor Society. I love being engaged in school activities, such as band, pep band, gymnastics, vocal jazz, theatre, Swedish club, swimming, French Club, UWM Horn Choir, and I would like to join additional activities if I could. On a normal day, I come home at around 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and work very hard to receive good grades (4.0 GPA). This sometimes can be difficult because I participate in honors and accelerated classes.…
