I have given a lot of thought to how I (and other people) can improve and change American life. One of the best ways I can think of to improve American life is to return to a staple of American life that has sharply declined in the last few decades- the civic organization. Civic organizations have been a bedrock of American life. Organizations like Rotary Clubs, the American Legion, Parent Teacher Organizations, religious organizations and the like have been responsible for many important improvements in the communities they are a part of.
