How To Go To College

Selecting what college to go to can be intimidating and stressful for the seniors who are

graduating from high school. Because it is going to be a place not only for learning at this

college, but that I will be living here for the next few years of my life. For that reason I have to

consider enormous factors about the college, in order to be able to deliberate the ultimate

decision of where I am intending to go to college. The factors can conclude the college expenses,

location, admission requirements, housing, the size of the college and classrooms. College visits

really help students to get a better perspective about colleges, which during my visits to different

Kendall College. The first classes in the new college were held on September 12, 1894.”

“Oklahoma State University is a coeducational public research university located in Stillwater,

Oklahoma. OSU was founded in 1890 under the Morrill Act.” One of the major differences

between these two colleges is that TU is private and OSU is public.

TU is one of the top in ranking of National Universities by U.S. News & World Report,

while OSU has been one of 120 “Best Western Colleges”. “96 percent of faculty has highest

degree attainable in their field, and the total enrollment for last year was 4682”. But for OSU

“Official enrollment for the fall 2010 semester system-wide was 35073.” So the amount of

enrollment of OSU is much more than TU based on the recent previous years.

Although almost all of the colleges have a common mission, but each of them have a

more in depth and specific mission. “The University of Tulsa is a private, independent, doctoral-

“Paying for college involves a partnership between our students, their families,

and the university. We look carefully at the unique financial circumstances of every family and

offer the best package of support possible”. “OSU offers scholarships based on need and merit.

Awards do not have to repaid.” Oklahoma provides grants and scholarship programs such as

Oklahoma’s Promise to state residents that do not have to be repaid.

University of Tulsa and Oklahoma State University, they both provide variety of different

majors and programs. “Majors, minors and certificate programs available through TU’s Henry

Kendall College of Arts and Sciences, Collins College of Business, the college of Engineering

and Natural Sciences and the College of Health Sciences are designed with your future.” OSU

has more colleges for different majors than TU.

Compared to University of Tulsa, Oklahoma State University has its highest paid majors

on majors that are related to “Agriculture, Digital Communication, Photographic Arts, and

Chemical Engineering”, while TU’s highest paid majors are related to “Mathematics,
