Got Good Books?
Not many people enjoy reading or just do it for fun, but that's because they are doing it all wrong. Whether its because they don't have a good fit or because they just gave up on a style or genre. Books can be expensive but you just have to know where to look and where to buy them.

I have always been thought to pick up a book that looks interesting to you, and turn to the to the first page and do the five finger rule. The five finger rule is, you read the first couple pages and if there is a word you don’t know or you don’t know how to say it put a finger down, if you put all five down before the first three pages the book is not a good fit, it is to hard. Next you should read books that are not to easy for you, so if you put only two or three fingers down that is a perfect book, because you are still going to learn new vocabulary from the book you are reading. One way I know if I'm going to like a book is if

There are places where you can get books super cheap and other places maybe a little more pricey. If you have no money to spend on books there are other places you can go to get some free ones, or you can reread some that you already have, some of those might seem different to you now. Some places I have gone to get books are Barnes and Noble, Half Price Books, and I have gotten some on my phone/Nook. Half Price Books is where I go when I don't have a lot of money to spend on books, plus you can bring old ones in there and sell them back to them and get money to spend on the “new” ones you get. At Half Price Books they are normally used but all in good conditions. Barnes and Nobles is very expensive I personally think but I'll go there occasionally to get a newer book or if it's special for some reason. I know some times at Barnes and Noble they have sales so you can get a whole series for cheaper. Other places you can go

Surveys were put out in between 1937 and 2002 to see the percentage of people who read books. The survey concluded that the earlier years the percentage was high and people read. When it came in the 20th century that percentage became higher and higher. In “Twilight of the Books” the author, Caleb Crain argues that people are beginning to be looser on reading in the twentieth century. There are arguments in multiple paragraphs that conclude that Americans are reading less and they are losing the ability to read well which go with the survey’s conclusion.…

Many books are sold or rented out online to students or at Beat the Bookstore, a store just across the street from here. There are even books that are sold in a pdf form that allow highlighting, notes, and a searching tool that allows one to look up certain parts of readings. These books online could be up to fifty dollars cheaper than those in the bookstore. Beat the Bookstore also has books that are much cheaper than the books in our bookstore. The only issue is that they run out of books extremely fast and their store is very crowded in the beginning of the semester.…

“Everyone is a reader… Some just haven’t found their favorite book yet.” I remember how I used to like playing with my electric car or bike and especially caring about collecting the hot wheels cars collection. But here comes the dream breakers who are our literacy sponsors.…

In the Western world, books can be found in any shape or form. One may encounter hardback books, paperbacks or indulge in digital editions by using an Orwellian e-reader (e-book reader). Moreover, in terms of content, there are big, philosophical tomes and short stories for children, the two being diametrically opposed. In spite of all this variety, in modern times, books have been neglected, disregarded and abandoned by the younger generation. We seldom see teenagers immerse themselves in pulp fiction.…

As a student, I am better at reading rather than a writing, or listening. I am more interested in fantasy books due the adventurous vibes it gives you while reading. The first fantasy book I read was, Eragon, written by, Christopher Paolini. This book was absolutely phenomenal just like the rest of fantasy related books. This is because not only the character development was great, but the story actually gives you enough detail to visualize the background sequence of the tale.…

Whether it be a Goosebumps books or Mark Twain books you 'll go anywhere it leads you, but once I got into middle school and high school the books weren 't like that anymore. School books do have plenty of information in them, but they’re uninteresting to read. Not too many people want to get lost in a book about photosynthesis, they would much rather read a story about action and adventure. I do feel like reading the informational books for studies and homework did help when I would read them to finish my school work, but thats only if I could make myself read through them. Usually I would just skim through the book rather than read it word for word to get the main idea.…

Reading Memoir John Green, author of The Fault in Our Stars, stated,” Great books help you understand, and they help you feel understood.” Actually, reading books helps me to explore the world. When I was just a little girl, I loved reading fairy tales which brought me to many vicarious thrilling adventures, and when growing up, non-fiction books taught me how to become a good person. Besides that, reading has brought me to many various levels of emotions, such as joy, love, hate, fear, and sorrow. Some stories not only make me feel euphoric with happy endings, but they also make me feel despondent when a character’s deep sorrow touched my heart.…

Was there ever a time you didn’t like to do something, but as you got older you started to love it more than you did as a child? When I was younger, I never liked to read, but now as I have gotten older, I read more and more different kinds of books and novels. My mother put my sister and me into a reading program in elementary school because our reading levels were lower than they should be. There were no criteria so we read books that were interesting to us, like the Given Tree by Shel Silverstein and Charlotte’s Web by E. B. White. When we finished reading them we would go around and talk about the book we read.…
