How To Establish Ethos

There are certain techniques and methods I would use in order to establish ethos and appeal to logos and pathos when trying to persuade my skeptical parents that a taking a gap year would be beneficial. To establish ethos, I would obviously be very humble and use language at the same level as my parents because if my parents feel respected, it helps build my ethos. I would also admit that I do not have as much experience with college and gap years as my parents to establish ethos. To build my credibility which in turn builds my ethos, I would do thorough research in order to demonstrate my knowledge on the subject of gap years so that my parents are more willing to listen to me. I would focus primarily on appealing to logos when presenting
