Another thing that is not helping the situation are teens go into war,stay for many years ,and come back without the proper education or teens go into the military immediately out of high school and come back when they are in their late twenties and have to go through college, in multiple cases causing them to miss out on time they could spend with their families which they fought to protect. “I fought and killed for my country, but to this day, I’m still trying to figure out why. Although, there are associations trying to help veterans not be homeless, but it’s not just the state of being homeless that is the problem there are other problems like combat-related physical health issues and disabilities, combat-related mental health issues and disabilities, and work-related difficulties can have a significant impact on self-efficacy and financial stability and thus deserve immediate attention, assessment, and referral.
