The recent advancement of pharmaceutical industry and medical research produces a large number of medications which has complicated the learning of drug therapy for healthcare students. Personal drug formulary is vital concept provided by the World health organization (WHO) in collaboration with the Australian National Prescribing Service (NPS) to increase the proficiency of health practitioners in rational prescribing and to endorse medication safety by reducing prescribing inaccuracies, standardising medication use procedures and protocols (Gaetani & Yeo, 2012, Vries et al. 2008, AMH). Developing personal formulary would help the clinicians to recognize clinical pharmacological and epidemiological principles of prescribing medicines (Gaetani & Yeo 2012). It will further help the clinicians to collect and compare the best available evidence to provide best pharmacological treatment. Moreover, the clinicians able to choose an alternative medicine for the particular patient more effectively by considering various treatment alternatives when developing personal formulary (Gaetani & Yeo 2012).

The personal drug formulary includes the detailed information about the medications including generic name, class, mechanism of action, indications, precautions, side effects, drug interactions, prescribing points, dose, dosage form and strength, PBS availability and restrictions. This formulary also includes the place of that drug in the personal formulary, and current evidence supporting the use of the medication. The use and indications of drugs that included in this personal formulary are particularly related to PED and for either once only prescription or for prescription post discharged from
