How To Describe A Whoville Concert

Improved Essays
Today I went to Holiday in Whoville concert with Kelly together. It is really a very good experience for me because this concert is very different than other concerts that I have been before. Compare to other concerts this concert is more like a big party for me. When the singers sing the songs on the stage, all the audience can sing along with them together. In addition, because it is almost Christmas so all the songs are relevant to Christmas. There is a chamber choir of 25 singers and one piano accompaniment. In the concert they totally perform nineteen songs. The first song is called “Winter Wonderland”. The music is not relatively slow, when I listening to this song I felt like I am walking in the street very relaxing while it is snowing outside. And I really like the second song called “That’s Christmas to me”, this song sounds very beautiful. The song sounds like a pop song to me. In the song’s lyrics it says “I see the children play outside, like angels in the snow. While mom and daddy share a kiss under the mistletoe. And we’ll cherish all these simple thins wherever we may be. Oh, why? Cause that’s Christmas to me” The lyrics of this song make me start to miss my parents. The song is in F# major. When the singers song this song it sounds amazing to me. There are some singers’ sings high pitches and some singers sing low pitches all together. Al though there are twenty five singers in the sing together, when I closed my eyes and listen to the music it felt like there is only one people singing one the stage, but when I listen to it carefully I can also distinguish that they are sing different pitches which combined a very beautiful song. I also like this song because during the singers …show more content…

Concert Etiquette When attending a musical performance, there are different sets of rules that accompany certain types of concerts. Most of the time these rules are unspoken and typically general knowledge, with the exception of classical music concerts where pamphlets may be given out or picked up ahead of time. That being said, there are many limitations of how one should conduct his or herself at a performance. During a classical music concert, the general principle is to be polite and good mannered as to properly accompany the style of music. Dress code isn’t entirely formal, but a good guide as to what you should or should not wear might be what you would wear to work or out to dinner with friends.…

Upon attending the International Chamber Music Festival Concert, a certain ecstatic vibe could be felt as the performers walked on stage with their musical instruments. The virtuoso’s performed in pieces that contained trios, duets, and quintets; showing the concentration they required when listening to each other. When working on Chamber Music, much of the melody jumps around from instrument to instrument, show casing various solos and much of the instruments having to coincide with each other to carefully listen for the melody. The first performance, was from Mosaics, by Eric Ewazen, only introducing the first movement: I. Barcarolle. The performers Dr. Susan Berdahl (flute), Dr. Xiaohu Zhou (bassoon), and Dr. James Moyer (marimba), all played outstandingly and show cased exactly how Chamber Music is meant to be played.…

New York Philharmonic is one of my favorite places to listen to the western classical music. I always have a great positive sense after a concert. To be honest with you, the idea of attending live events is really good and useful for every student. The goal of our educational system is to make people study not only their major material, but also be well rounded and can have a conversation on different topics in other fields of studies.
