I feel a little bit better today. I feel everything going to be fine.
Hmmm. You felt down for a while, what did happen that make you feel different today?
I find a solution that will help me. I am not worry about my depression anymore, I find a way to help myself.
John, Please describe to me the solution that you find for depression.
I think I am going to commit suicide.
So, You want to commit suicide. Do you know how you are going to do that? Yes, I have a plan to hang myself in my bedroom.
When do you plan to do this?
Probably in a couple of days, I want to arrange everything.
What kind of things you need to arrange?
Mmm. I want to make sure all the documents that my wife is going to need, there are in the place

It is same old issues that I have; my depression, my son’s situation, my relationship issues, my job. I feel like I am going to feel better.
So, do you find it as your solution?

John, I want you to know It is not unusual when somebody has a depression to look for a solution and sometimes suicide ideas may come to their mind. But, it seems like part of you doesn 't want to end your life, since you share it with me. What do you think?
Yes, That is right. But I am so tired of me being depressed and I want to end it. I just want you to accept that I have the right to end my life.
Well, I am not going to. It’s my duty to try to keep you alive. Have you thought about that how devastating that would be for your family?
Yeah, But right now, they are suffering because of my depression. It will be better for them too.They can have my life insurance and the life will be easer for them without me.
John, there is a lot of ways that people die. It will happen to all of us eventually. When somebody dies over an accident, illness ,people grief but they usually don 't feel guilty. They feel sad because they lost their love one but they don 't feel responsible for that. Suicide is different, when somebody committed suicide the friends and family feel responsible. They have no answers to the all the questions that they never get answers for

No. but at least, they don 't feel guilty.
Okay, I can tell you from the experiences that notes not really help. hmmm. They will miss you and they will feel responsible for that. I Know you don 't want that?

Great, We will talk about other ways shortly. Fist of all I want you to know I have to call your wife and ask her to come over right now and we will share with her about your suicidal ideas, so she can taking care of you. I want you to know if you feel that you need to talk to me at anytime, you can call me. I will give you my cellphone and my pager number. There is a hot line for suicide I will give you their number, they are really great. If you need to talk to somebody or if you feel you have an urge to do suicide you can call them.
I want you to know you can call 911 or ask your wife to call them if you feel that you are in danger of doing suicide. Also you can go to emergency room and they will taking care of you.
