In the very early years of a life, communication means using expressions and different behaviors to convey feeling and needs. A baby will cry to signal the mother or father to feed the child or change its diaper. As people get older, they learn to communicate through words and facial expressions. Like communication, honesty allows people to understand each others dislikes and likes. Honesty also aids in the prevention of miscommunication. Just like the example in the paragraph above, a baby will cry when it is hungry. However, it is common in children to lie in order to get more food. Therefore, when the baby lies about being hungry, the parents will feed the baby. But over time, the parents might get worried over how their child never seems to be full, no matter how much they feed them. This would cause panic in the parents which in turn leads to the parents bringing their child to a healthcare center. Because of the baby's lack of ability to tell the truth, even though it did not mean to, the baby caused fear for the parents. Being honest can also help relationships grow by telling the truth. I hated to play tennis but, in fear of disappointing my mother, I kept on playing for another year. Finally, I was honest about how I felt and my mother allowed me to quit.
