My toes are steadied carefully in the hot sand. I had to be as quiet as possible, naturally. I couldn't fail. As a Mandiblor, you are already the lowest of the low. It is your duty to obey your orders, and to not mess it all up.

Duties are duties, absolutely stupid or not. I still did not understand why Lore would want me to fetch a common Mipedian Mugic-I'm positive we had one or two in reserve for study, and, whether I was perfection in stealth or not, it was a risky move. The sun’s burning rays beat down on us as we dug through the layers of Egyptian sand and rock. We had only begun the excavation the previous day and had already uncovered one-fifth of the ancient pyramid. I, as well as a team of high-ranking archaeologists, had accompanied Sarah Parcak in an expedition to unearth a lost Egyptian pyramid. “How’s your section of the chamber coming along, Erica? We’ve just uncovered a new sarcophagus,” remarked Sarah as she passed by, carrying a large coffin.…

The Montrose Precipice I It all went back to the summer of 1932 when tragedy struck; its affect was wide-spread in the community, most of it at least. Finding the building where Colonel Gaff was based was an easy enough task. It was one of the few buildings that was actually reinforced, had two guards posted at the door, and the banners of the Galactic Republic hanging outside. Lieutenant Wolfe made straight for the guards, head held high. She stopped just before the two males, both human, both privates, who took only a moment to note her rank, the big man on the left sucked in a breath. “Havoc Squad!”…

This barren wasteland is encompassed by swampy marshes, so we are afraid to wander outside of our outpost, and the only lifeforms we can see are ten to twenty feet long with sharp, jagged teeth. When a task is given out it is expected to be completed before moving on to the next task so that all aspects of the mission can be completed effectively and without fail. As a soldier it is my obligation to not only complete the task, but to report back to higher on its status, proving to my chain of command my current level of competency. It is a failure for not properly completing the tasks or not promptly notifying my chain of command when I am unable to complete a task in the time allotted. It is my obligation to ensure that I improve myself in all areas working to become more proficient and efficient in my duties.
