Community responsibility has impacted my residential experience to a great extent. Living in the dorms, especially that of Belk, I have found that having various responsibilities, such as cleaning the lounge to participating in hall activities, has helped me to bond with my hall mates. Community responsibility has enhanced my residential experience, and if I were to become a Hall Counselor, I would want to incorporate some sort of shared responsibility that all members of my hall can take part in. For example, my current counselors made it a responsibility for all hall members to take part in ensuring that the lounge and bathroom are kept orderly to help alleviate the mess that our great janitorial staff would have to otherwise clean up.
