How To Become A Forensic Toxicologist

There are many factors that may shape who a person is or what their dreams and aspirations are. My family, community, and school have shaped who I am and the dream I have of being a Forensic Toxicologist. A lesson I have learned from my community is to be creative towards solving any complication that may come my way. In addition, my school has taught me to be a risk-taker. Moreover, I have learned that the price of success is through hard work and determination from my family. That being said, my family, community, and school have shaped my dreams and aspirations in many ways. Although there are no malls, movie theaters, or parks in the area there are many alternative ways to be entertained. For instance, on a beautiful Saturday morning in Salton City my cousin decided to spend the day watching her favorite show on Netflix because that is how most teenagers spend their weekend. However, I was very irritated with the fact that Salton City is mostly seen as an unexciting place to be on the weekends. Seeing that, I was determined to make my Saturday memorable by going sandboarding in the beautiful dunes located in Salton City. Due to the fact that I had a creative mind, my Saturday went from lying in bed with my feet in the air to riding down a bumpy dune with my feet strapped down to a board. Consequently, finding creative solutions has shaped my dream and aspiration of becoming a Forensic Toxicologist. As a Forensic Toxicologist, I will have to find creative solutions to problems because of the many possible toxins that may be found in the human body. For example, a corpse might come in and as a Forensic Toxicologist I will have to determine the cause of death. My responsibility as a Forensic Toxicologist is to isolate and identify any substances in the body that may have contributed to the crime.
