This saying is also cliche but it stands true; what's on paper does not always translate. By using that saying, I am trying to portray that in theory defining mastery is easy, but in reality the definition of mastery is extremely dependent on the situation. In summation, one does not have to do something beyond what he or she has mastered to grow because there is always room for growth; there are always new standards that have to be met, and it is nearly impossible to define mastery. At the end of the day, the group or individual has to find what works for them.…

From the Sinek Video: 1. What did he say about the "Feeling of Fulfillment"? o Sinek states that if we don’t love our work, we will not feel any type of fulfillment from the jobs we do for a living. Famous author Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow. " I agree with Emerson because there is always room to improve and expand, even if the task has been mastered or the goal has been reached. So many people today have lost their drive. Very few people are trying to go beyond what is required; we are just striving for average, not greatness. Once we accomplish something, we seem to throw it behind us, and let it become just another memory.…

My passion for Chemistry started in year 7, the teacher I had for science made the subject interesting and fun, so I looked forward to every science lesson I had. The areas of chemistry that interest me are inorganic and organic chemistry as you can learn a lot about how and why different substances react in different situations. I also enjoy physical chemistry, because it allows you to apply chemistry to life situations. In addition, the skills I have learnt from chemistry are varied.…

With this information I have also had a look at some video footage that was taken during a training session for my schoolboy’s team. It clearly demonstrated my lack of selective attention, I do not pre scan the pitch and can not therefore see the available passes to my team mates. However, this is the information which I needed to selectively attend on before receiving the ball. Instead I respond only to the movement of the approaching defender and the call from my team mate, without selecting the important information of the distance of the defender; if I had selected this piece of information along with my pre scan, I would have realised I had more time to improve my body position and control the ball. It clearly shows me panicking on the ball and producing a poor pass to my team mate.…

It's better to take the risks to make life more fun in ways you can't think of. If we didn't take risks in life we wouldn’t have any fun and we wouldn't have any inventions and the world would be in stone age again, But we did take risks and now we are venturing into the future. I know that if we didn't take risks our world would be safer, but the people that took a risk made history like Thomas Edison who made the first light bulb. It is better to take risks and make mistakes because you can learn from your mistakes, you can achieve more, and you can learn about what you like and dislike. First, its good for taking risk is because we can learn from our mistakes.…

For me personal mastery teaches that an individual needs to establish their own vision and values and align their actions to these visions and values. These visions and values should also be aligned to that of the organisation. It requires the person to look critically at the current reality and clarifying what is important to them and what they need to do to achieve what they want. This generates what is referred to as creative tension and in personal mastery it requires individuals to learn how to identify and deal with the creative tension in their lives. Creative tension can only be resolved when reality moves towards the vision.…
