A long stethoscope around the neck. An ankle-length lab coat. A kind smile and kind words.This is what a veterinarian is typically described as, though that is only the outside appearance. Behind this kind facade is a hard-working person, determined to help the world by looking after the animals that everyone all loves. Unfortunately, all everyone sees is only what is on the outside. Most never even begin to wonder how much stamina it takes to uphold such an important task. The truth is, becoming a veterinarian takes a lot of work, and even though the pay for being a veterinarian might be worth all of the extra schooling, this field is very competitive, so finding a job is not particularly hopeful.
