There many ways to tell what God is like, I believe that each of us will have our own opinions of how we portray God. I portray God in many different ways but my favorites are how powerful, forgiving, and unconditionally loving He is. I think about how powerful God is I am awestruck. In the book of Job it talks about how glorious God's voice is and how we cannot put words towards the greatness that his power is (Job 37:5 New International Version.) My personal opinion about the benefit of Christian belief is that we receive salvation and eternal life when we trust in the Lord. I think salvation is a benefit of the Christian worldview because we know the trusting in the Lord we will receive guidance and his unconditional love. Also by trusting in the Lord, receiving salvation we are told that Jesus died so that we shall not perish but receive eternal life. I believe knowing that when I die I will receive eternal life has helped me get through difficult times in my life. I believe there are many things we may find trouble somewhere confused about Christianity. The thing that I find most confusing is why there is sickness or disease throughout the world. I find myself questioning God about why my loved ones had to die if he change the outcome. I understand that some things happen because the situations, but I don't believe If he would have change to the situation the outcome would have prevented heart ache and pain. Christianity influences a person's thinking and behavior because in the Bible we are taught different commands and we are taught to try to live like Jesus
