How To Avoid Texting While Driving

After examining National Safety Council Reports, I have discovered that 1.6 million crashes, nearly 330,000 injuries, and more than 3,000 teens die each year due to texting while driving. I can say that 1 out of every 4 car accidents are caused by texting while driving. Most car accidents that involve texting while driving are caused by teenagers which are four times more likely to crash while texting compared to adults. This may be because teens tend to ignore cell phone driving restrictions such as in a school zone. Moreover, every time a person looks down at their cell phone to send a text message they are about 5 seconds with their eyes off the road which is technically the same thing as driving blind for a limited time.
