Handheld devices are an increasing key component when investigating major car accidents and some states are going as far as to ban these devices from being used in the car to prevent these accidents. Ever since smart phones and technology became more available and more advanced , it seems like we aren't able to put them down anymore , even when driving, when lives are at stake. Hundreds and hundreds of accidents occur everyday due to distracted driving and it may need to be looked as a picture were more states should ban phone use in the car. Many companies, and even phone companies themselves promote safe driving and "no texting and driving" campaigns , but even with a mass of communities , it continues to be growing and tragic epidemic and people everyday lose their lives just because of …show more content…
Texting and driving also puts risk of other drivers on the road as well as yours and anybody you have in the car with you. When you get behind the wheel , you have a responsibility to have complete and total concentration on the road and the drivers around you. When you take out your phone , its impossible to pay attention to the road and cars around you and answer your phone , adding much more risk than there already is when you get behind the wheel. Texting and driving can be avoided by simply turning off your phone when you get in the car or tell people your driving before you get in the car. Don't be the driver that adds risks to the road , be the driver who extinguishes the risk! Distracted driving is a increasing occurrence and cause crashes and tragic loss and news to families all over the united states and only action will help ban the use of phone use in the car. Joining these campaigns to help prevent it may be the key to saving someone's life! Help be the person that helps us stop texting and driving and be the person that gets the attention of people that do text and drive! Only we can show the dangers of texting and driving and only
