There are many situations about American police that should be changed. I do believe not many of civilians are aware of what’s going in certain races until they are in that situation. Then, they will understand. In this essay I will state facts and write what I believe as well about this topic. The U.S. poverty rates by race are; White 10% , Black 25% , American Indian & Alaska 30% , Asian 13% , Hawaiian 20% , and Hispanic/ latino 28%. Now in prison percentage it is; Asian 1.5% , Black 37.7% , Native American 2.0% , and White 58.8%. It is clear that the two race with the highest percentage are White and Black. In the past few years till this day White police men shoot unarmed African American civilians. Of course it is not fair. We have to look at the facts are understand why this happening. The question is, why is it that the highest percentage of prisoners is White? Well, most of White people in prison are there for drug related crime. In certain european countries they work so different than the U.S. When it comes to prisoners they live in a far away where they are allowed to have interaction with other prisoners. They learn many courses as they would in school. They cook their own food. They have their own comfortable bed with flat screen T.V.’s. They live a good life in prison. The reason for this is because they believe “prisoners” or bad people should be afraid of each other. They should learn how to get to know each other. Education is different too. In some counties college is free and in some countries they even pay you to go to college. This motivates students to continue their studies. In kinder-12th grade education is different as well. They give children meals that are so much better than ours. They have an hour of lunch and not just 30 minutes as we do here in america. As for work every person gets to go home for an hour and have lunch with their family. I believe America should learn a lot from the system in european countries.
