How The Natural Human Learning Process Affects Us The Natural Human Learning Process is very important in our everyday lives; everything we learn during our day is affected by the Natural Human Learning Process. According to Rita Smilkstein there are six steps to the Natural Human Learning Process which affect our learned skills. Our learned skills are stored in our neurons which are easiest to remember if you think of it as a tree in our dendrites. What causes our dendrites to grow is the process of synaptic firing which is most relatable to the firing of a spark plug. Our emotions are what affect our synaptic firing which will affect our dendrite growth. When we understand how our emotions affect our learning we can use it to our advantage when we go through our lives.
According to Dr. Rita Smilkstein research, humans have a five or six step learning process, which she calls the Natural Human Learning Process. This is how I learned how to skateboard. The first stage of the Natural Human Learning Process is Motivation; I was motivated to skateboard by seeing a person who later became a close friend skateboarding in front of his house. The second stage is Starting Practice; I achieved this step by first buying a skateboard and asking the guy I saw skateboarding to teach me. The third stage is Advanced Practice; after a while I became better and decided it was time to move from the street in front of my friend’s house to some local skate parks where I continued to progress.…
