The points in both essays are very accurate and give a real-life representation of what media has done for crisis' in the past. One thing is for sure, people can use the media to manipulate people into believing the wrong things but I think in types of these situations, the good media spreading outweighs the bad media spreading. This is shown at the start of the essay," In Defense of The Media" when they state," Some people have negative things to say about the media. An argument could be made that the media takes advantage of conflict by broadcasting it as entertainment in order to make money. In present times, most people have much more types of media. This is why there is a higher chance of getting lied to but also a higher chance of helping out. Throughout mobile apps, news, and ads people can spread news like wildfire. Like in World War II, people needed to get their message out. Which probably took a lot longer then it takes for someone to get their message out today. What could have taken weeks during World War II, could have taken less than 5 minutes
