The Surroundings of Tomorrow

According to dictionary.com the environment is the conditions that surrounds and influences something or someone. Believe it or not the environment has an impact on how children are raised. No matter how responsible a parent can be, there will always be a need for a supporting hand from a family member, teacher, church member, or even a neighbor. Several people are convinced that it takes more than just two parents to raise a child alone. The three reasons people feel this way are; parents have other obligations outside of the home to fulfill, parents can only offer a certain amount of information, and parents may not beware of the dangers of technology.

There is no perfect parent that knows everything. Every parent lacks in at least one or two fields when it comes to giving information or directions on how to do certain situations. Some parents may not have the patience to teach their children how to drive. Some parents may not show their children how to cook and clean. Also, many parents do not teach their children how to save and manage money. Parents make mistakes because he or she is human just like everybody else. The main thing parents fail to teach is the sex. Parents find it uncomfortable having the sex talk because they didn’t receive the talk themselves. For Instance, Evelyn, a fourteen-year-old girl find it easier to talk about sex with her neighbor Morgan than her parents. Her parents feel like she is too young to think even about having sex. One day Evelyn found out she was pregnant, and she wanted to get rid of it. Evelyn knew not to tell her parents because they would not understand, so she went to Morgan. Morgan helped Evelyn get the abortion without her parents
