First, one of the begging rungs of the Ladder of Prejudice was discrimination. In May of 1942 the Jewish religion had to sew a yellow star on some part of their clothing with the word “Jude” permanently put onto the yellow star. Many Jews were brought for many places and some were killed in a gas chamber just hours after getting the their camp. When they got to the camp they were examined and if they were unable to work or were very sick they were sent to a gas chamber being told they were going to medicine to help them get better but were killed by poisonous gasses (“Centers”). Gas was one of their best way of killing them because they could do it in large groups of people. The way they did this was they locked them in chambers and killed them with gas and disposed of their bodies by burning them (“Gassing”). When they were sick they were told they could get medicine that would help them get better but it was poisonous gasses that killed them. Some victims were told they had to take showers and were killed by gas. If they were too weak or unfit to work they would be killed (“Gas”).
