How The Disruption Of Rainforests

Improved Essays
Disruption of water cycles- Rainforests can turn into deserts if the water cycle gets disrupted. Trees can evaporate the ground water releasing it into the atmosphere. they play an important role in producing water vapor. Animals are very important for the balance of the ecosystems and food chains. Destroying their natural habitats many animals are forced to move and look for a new one. During this process a lot of them are unable to survive. Sometimes they appear in residential areas looking for food or shelter, which is again quite dangerous for them. This leads to a massive extinction of these species that depend on the ecosystem of forests. Another problem is that cutting down the trees leaves them nowhere to hide and they become accessible

It is one of most significant, if not the most significant cause of animal endangerment. The destruction of habitats accounts for 36% of the loss of species in the Brazilian Amazon. (“Endangered”) “Forests are complex ecosystems that affect almost every species on the planet. When they are degraded, it can set off a devastating chain of events both locally and around the world.”…

In the Amazon, around 17% of the forest has been lost in the last 50 years, mostly due to forest conversion for cattle ranching. I think it does affect an ecosystem because if it's alive it will make more. Also if the area around them is being destroyed they can’t produce animals and possible die. There could also be excitation which would make the populations go down.…

Every year, many plants and animal species are killed, or even put to the brink of extinction, due to Amazon Deforestation. “Forests are complex ecosystems that affect almost every species on the planet. When they are degraded, it can set off a devastating chain of events both locally and around the world.” (Bradford) By deforesting the amazon, many animals are losing their homes and food sources.…

Human Impact: Deforestation The biggest threat to Coniferous Forests is deforestation. Biodiversity Effect: The biggest threat caused by deforestation is the loss of habitat for the animals and other biotic organisms that live there. It also impacts the non-living features (abiotic) in an ecosystem. For example, deforestation causes soil erosion, which leads to less nutrient filled soil for new plants to grow. An other effect on biodiversity is the change in climate.…

Rainforests are bursting with life. Not only do millions of species of plants and animals live in rainforests, but people also call the rainforest their home. In fact, indigenous, or native, peoples have lived in rainforests for many thousands of years. Early accounts of these people by European explorers indicate a far denser population lived in the forest than today. Many of these original peoples, such as the Caribs (after whom the Caribbean Sea is named) have disappeared completely.…

The reason why rainforests is more diverse than other forests is because the climate is humid and moist, little to no winds, and have rapid recycling of the soil nutrients. This makes their ecosystem richness is higher than other forms of forests. Specifically tropical rain forests are located at the equator, whereas other forests are more dispersed across the globe. Because rain forests have a higher richness, their destruction would have greater consequences than a forest in someone’s backyard. Without rainforests unique forms of medication and or cures would be reduced significantly.…

I think Ramstad School should give the money we raise to the rainforest foundation, because this is a very exposed area, where thousands of trees and plants get cut down every day. It is very awful, and the rainforest is important for all over the world. The rainforest gets ruined more and more for each day passing by. Every time a tree or plant gets destroyed, a little piece of the environment gets worse.…

The Tropical Rainforest is affected in a numerous amount of ways. For example, fires in the rain forest are very rare. In one specific area it could be up to 440 to 1550 years before another fire could occur in that specific area. Although, fires in the rainforest are increasing because of the increasing in logging.…

Chosen ecosystems: Tropical rainforest Describe where this type of ecosystem might be located. Name 1 specific example. Rainforests are found in the tropics; the region between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Tropic of Cancer, just below and above the equator. This is because at this region, the climate is warm and relatively stable since the sun is very strong and shines for the same duration throughout the year. The Amazon Rainforest in Brazil is a good example of a tropical rainforest (Corlett & Primack, 2011).…

The forest is thinned of its biodiversity, picked apart tree by tree. What's worse, the illegal logging gangs take the seed-bearing trees, what the rubber tappers call the "mothers of the forest. " The law is that you can’t cut the Seed-Bearing Trees down because the trees provide hundreds of gallons of water a day to transpiration on a hot day. But the Loggers don’t care and they quietly cut the trees down, and this starts the deforestation. The evidence that was provided is alike…

When it comes to watersheds, trees are desperately needed, and as the result of no trees in watershed areas, many problems can occur and will damage almost the entire ecosystem. If an area of trees gets cut down, watersheds get disrupted, creating problems, such as the lack of forming other ecosystems or species unlikely being able to adapt to the waters. Many people know that trees control climate change, which can affect the condition of water temperatures. Accompanying high temperatures, marine life cannot adapt to the water, making it likely for them to die. Another possible problem without trees is flooding.…

One of the consequences is the loss of habitats. Since those trees were homes to most of the animals, cutting down the trees left them homeless. Since the animals didn’t have anywhere to live, they migrated. After all the animals migrated, the biodiversity in the ecosystem went down. Cutting all of the trees down, left the ground bare, which could increase the chances of erosion.…
