Depressed generation
Depression is a mental disorder that can affect the way an individual behaves as well as how he feels about himself. It is a condition that affects thousands of people in the world without any preference (women, men, children...), causing “emotional disbalances” and interfering with their daily life (Vidal, 2012). Nowadays, clinical diagnosis of depression has increased in the population in a significant way, especially in children and teenagers. Those who suffer from it display extreme variations in behavior such as persistent sadness and loss of self-esteem can take place.

Both childhood and adolescence are crucial and necessary stages in the life of individuals. Those stages are characterized for being the ones in which physical and psychological changes occur in the person. Those are times of change in which the individual can be unstable and submissive to the external factors that can affect it. In today 's societies, depression has come prematurely, affecting the young world population and the future societies. When depression is developed during the adolescence, it can show continuity; reason for which it is estimated that the adult population of the future will suffer from depression. The first factor that shows a relationship with the early depression is the fact that it is assumed that depressive symptoms are common in adolescence. This is a misconception due that depressive symptoms can be associated with hormonal changes experienced by the person but they are not equal. Those symptoms are prolonged more than the adolescence changes and are much more associated with suicidal tendencies in the individual. They are symptoms that are camouflaged behind common tendencies during adolescence. On the other hand, the relationship between family structure and the adverse effect it can have on individual behavior since childhood was also studied. It showed that with increasing divorce, family organization and family size, children can experience depressive behavior since childhood, increasing also the possibility of suffering to future different mental disorders. For last, the uncontrolled interaction with social media is another factor that leads to depression. Teenagers are the part of the population that has more contact with social networks.
