The book I chose to read was called Dark Angel. I enjoyed the book it was a good and it was a mystery. It was something kids really go through in their time life and have to know how to handle the issues that come to hand. With Jeff it was a big issue for him to handle and he didn’t know how to deal it but he knew that his whole life would change now. All the people in his would be affected by it and it scared Jeff to see how all of this would turn out. He was faced with a lot of difficult choices and some made him really think. I enjoyed how the main character really had to think about others and how they could be affected with their life. He had real feelings and i could feel how the main character felt with certain issues. For example when Jeff and his father were discussing his older brother …show more content…
When that is really Jeff’s only friend and he doesn’t want to lose Beth. Also with Jeff and Tommy how they were acting at the play watching Beth at the concert. They got along well and Tommy told Jeff to look at him as a good guy but dropping hints about Jeff’s girl. But when they had their soccer game they got into a fight which lead to more trouble for Jeff now. But with Jeff and Tommy he thinks he can joke around but he knows how Jeff feels about Beth and he wa being kinda rude about it. I didn’t like when Charley got pranked and everybody was in on it and nobody told him he was going to pee blue and the kid freaked out and haven’t slept for days and got into a fight with another teammate who thought it was funny and made him embarrassed. Yes I understand peer pressure but if that was your friend wouldn’t you want them to know that it was nothing permanent but instead he got in trouble and lost a lot of things in his future. I didn’t like when Jeff couldn’t be honest with his best friend Smitty about his older

In this film scholars such as James Oliver Horton, who is the Benjamin Banneker Professor of American Studies and History at George Washington University and Historian Emeritus of the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History and Charles Blockson, a black studies scholar and author assist in unraveling the documents…

Bull lives in Wisconsin with his grandfather, while his mother is living in LA. His mother wants him to forget about baseball and attend school in LA, but Bull knows what’s best for him and he thinks that his calling is baseball. Jeff and Billy are Bull’s friends and have been since elementary school.…

The book I chose for my independent reading project was The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, by Michelle Hodkin. I would recommend this book to people between the ages of 14 and 18. Another thing I liked about this book was that the main character went on an adventure and discovered himself. One thing in this book that worked for me was how Hinton transitioned pieces of the story. A good example of this is in the beginning when Travis was sent away from his mom and stepdad to go live with his uncle. This book is similar to S.E. Hinton’s other stories like “The Outsiders” and “Rumble Fish”. These stories all involve troubled youths living in hard times.…

The Hidden Oracle and The Flying Tigers are two books that I have enjoyed reading recently. The first book that engaged me is the Hidden Oracle, which is a fiction by Rick Riordan and is quite comparable to his other Greek mythology books. I found this book interesting because in the beginning, the god Apollo is changed from a god to a normal, mortal person. Despite wanting his powers back, Apollo is able to overcome the enemy and regain his confidence as well as getting over not having powers. At the end he really shows resilience and I thought that was neat to see the progression in him.…

Thru out the film there were many real life stories told and the one that made me question people and life was one incident that happened in California. When a lady rushes her baby to the nearest hospital because her baby had a high fever and was denied treatment due to their health care provider, which led to the baby death. Listening to this made me feel devastated, angry, sad, and frustrated, feelings that I wish I never have to feel when it comes to our health…
