How The Biggest Impact In The Woods

The summer after my second grade year was when I made the biggest impact in the woods at the end of my backyard. I can remember my sister and I venturing down to the woods to trample through the weeds and pick up some sticks for some apparent reason. Toward the end of my second grade year, I walked down to the woods like usual to go mess with the low grade bridge we constructed to get across the very narrow stream at the time. I reach the outskirt of the woods when I notice I girl wearing bright colored clothes moving some branches from across the stream her appearance struck me because the bias I had toward girls at the time and the fact that she was messing up my bridge.

Quickly getting over my fear I then asked timidly,”What are you doing?”
As I watched her struggle to lean a lengthy branch against a mangled tree. I quickly come to my senses and realize they were trying to build a fort. The boy walks up to and introduces himself and I come to realize that he was in my class that year and that him and his sister live just up the hill in the opposite direction of my house. After this encounter we quickly become friends and spend all that summer making forts and playing in the neighborhood. Fast forward to the next summer and we have prominent fort made from a tree whose top was broke from a bad storm, the fort was like a makeshift home for the homeless but with the inability to stand up on it’s own. After days of hard work we finally construct a self sufficient fort lined with dead grass from my yard and miscellaneous objects we’ve found through out the woods. When we were satisfied with the construct of our fort we pursued to create a golf ball selling business where we’d find golf balls in the vicinity, clean them in the creek, and then try to sell them to golfers that’d drive by our humble
