In the present day society an individual may view a postsecondary education as being worth the tuition, ingenuity acquired, and the ability to adapt to an ever changing world. Tuition, a numerous amount of people say have stated that the amount of money it takes to enter a college is way too costly. This is one of the main reasons people deter from college. Including the ability to take the right approach when addressing stressful situations, finding productive ways of working, and also learning how to properly express feelings. A liberal education remains a resource years after graduation because it helps us to address problems and potential in our lives with passion, commitment and a sense of possibility (Roth). As an individual sometimes when put in a stressful position people tend to shut down. Going to college may be able to help with these type of problems. Having the ability to analyze a situation and determine the best decision could be beneficial to an individual one day. Another important skill that may be attained at a university is the ability to speak our minds and to determine what we want in life. A liberal education teaches us freedom by example, through the experience of free research, thinking and expression; and ideally, it inspires us to carry this example, this experience of meaningful freedom, from campus to community (Roth). To possess this skill is very important. Everyone needs a mind of their own, to decide for themselves who as an individual they might want to be like. This includes choosing a profession. As most people do, some choose a profession they will do for the rest of their lives. Nobody wants to make this decision because their friend did or they were told, but rather something that they had the desire and will to do. That is what one should choose their profession on. Finding work after college could be difficult, but with the skills acquired from going to a university it could be made easier, by using the techniques learned from going to a well-rounded school.
