She has noticed that at her school many of the students do not pay attention to each other as they walk down the halls between classes; instead of looking at everyone, and where they are going, they are texting. According to Ms. Stafford it is texting that causes students to be stupid and to get bad grades.…

No matter what kind of conversations they have, they are texting, and no matter what locations they are at, they are texting as well (Cullington 361). By focusing on the convenient communication, Cullington overlooks the deeper problem of students’ school lives. Students who are texting during the time they are studying will have big impact on their attention. For instance, in order to study or write academic papers, students have to follow the train of their thought and concentrate on the plot line to process the writings. People should agree that once the plot line is interrupted, it will be not easy to pick up again.…

During this past week's class we discussed relationships and what we think of as a “healthy relationship”. When I first discovered that we had to take a love language quiz and fill out a healthy relationship I was confused and a little irritated because I didn’t understand how those things would help me, or why that even mattered in the first place. After taking the quiz and filling out the worksheet I wondered what was going to happen after, I actually thought that the results from the quiz and what we said on the worksheet was going to be used to match us with others in the program, but I soon realized that wasn’t the case and I was relieved by it. During Friday’s class we also talked about loving yourself and taking care of yourself before…
