How Teen Violence Effects Society
What is teen violence? What does teen violence mean? Teen violence is harmful behaviors that can start very early in your life and then end in young adulthood. As a young person you could be a victim, an offender, or even a witness to the violence going on. Teen violence is actually something that happens quite often around the world. So here are some statistics about teen violence. CDC, made a study that shows that around 4,828 teens, around the age of 10-24 are victims of teen violence. That is a total of 13 teens every day! Teen violence is actually a common thing, many violent acts are done by teens. In 2011, about 20.1% of teens at school through the grades of 9-12, were bullied in the preceding 12 months on school property. CDC, made a survey show that around 32.8% of teens at school got in a physical fight within a 12 month period.
Teen violence doesn’t just happen in person, it even happens on social media. In 2005, around 9% of teens the age of 10-17 years old internet users

According to TeenHelp.com, around 1668 teens at the age of 13-18 have committed suicide in the United States. Suicide is actually the second leading cause of death in people around the age of 15-24 in the United States. So teen violence also causes many teens to go suicide after doing an illegal act.
Most teens have a reason why they likely participate in teen violence, so here are a couple reasons why. According to TeenHelp.com, teens will participate in teen violence because they have been bullied or teased in school. So as a result they will do something in the act of revenge. Another reason why teens might participate in teen violence is because they might be stressed, depressed, or frustrated about something.
