It’s hard to imagine a time where there was iPhone, Netflix, Wi-Fi and much more. From the beginning of time I had many electronic devices from Gameboys, video now, mp3 player. However, it is amazing to see how far we have come and how much things have changed in a short amount of time. The innovations that have been made and will be made is always astonishing. Technology is changing the way we communicate and do work, but it is also transforming the way we live.
My first phone was a black LG flip phone that I often dismissed because I wanted a Motorola razor. However, I was still grateful that I was able to receive a phone. It first started out as a phone that was to be used for emergencies, but that was absurd. I would decorate my phone will glittery letters and stickers. I vividly remember being obsessed with ringtones and I always had to have a new one every time a new song came out. I would hold my phone up to my desktop computer and record songs, I would then set as a ringtone. It also had games like Snake, Solitaire, and Tetris. Unlimited text messaging was something so foreign and far-fetched. In addition, I was only able to send and receive a total of 50 text messages within a whole month. Yes, I was only in sixth grade. However, it was so much cooler to text things rather than calling. I was repeatedly punished for going over the limit and causing extreme overage charges and fees.
