How Technology Has Changed Our Lives Essay

We live in a time where technology has become a huge requirement in our everyday lives. Everyone from preteens and even the elderly (old and old- old) seems to have their own smart phone, laptop, and even tablets. I think technology, including the internet is essentially good because it helps us communication, our education, navigation, and many other things that we need help with on a daily basis.
If we compare and contrast the technology from twenty years ago and today, there are many things that have changed for the better. Let’s take a look at the evolution of cell phones. Within the past twenty five years or so, we have gone through pay phones pagers, cell phones that are the size of bricks, and so forth. To think- our parents used to walk around with those chunky phones and at that point in time they were considered the best thing man has ever made. Since then, the cell phone has evolved and taken a major shift. We have companies like Apple that have introduced cell phones, “iPhones”, which basically come with your own personal assistant named “Siri”. The evolution of cell phones also allows us to stream movies, music, take notes, selfies, and even have applications such as Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, and Tumblr, just to name a few. To think- the next generation’s cell phones will be completely different, and then they too will laugh at how we thought the iPhone 6 was the best thing ever.
